Sebrina Barron

Sebrina Barron is a 21-year-old Maui native who has transformed her love of music into a blossoming career like a true artist.

Sebrina picked up the guitar and began writing songs when she was barely into double-digits. One of her first public appearances was at a school concert where she played the Kris Kristofferson-penned "Me and Bobby McGee." The humble songbird casually mentions to longtime friends that Kristofferson saw her play his song and said she "did it right."

When Sebrina was 16-years-old, she formed a duo with Pat Simmons Jr., son of Doobie Brother Patrick Simmons. Soon Sebrina found herself opening for Willie Nelson at the 2007 Maui Music Festival in front of 1,800 people. The same year, Sebrina and Pat opened for the Doobie Brothers at the annual B.R. Cohn Music Festival in Sonoma, CA, an event that draws 5,000 people.

When Sebrina and Pat went their separate ways, she began to focus on writing songs and performing as a solo artist. She started playing open-mic nights at a cafe in Maui's bohemian North Shore surf town Paia.

It didn't take long for Sebrina's talent to be recognized. She now performs weekly at the South Shore Tiki Lounge, Dog and Duck Irish Pub and Lu Lus in Kihei.
In addition to her regular gigs, Sebrina can be seen playing at a variety of venues and events ranging from art show openings to street festivals.
Sebrina Barron wins over fans every time she picks up her guitar and starts singing. There is no doubt that this young singer/songwriter's talent is going to transform her simple Paia Town life into something very special.
